My last relaxer was in July 2009 & I did the big chop in November 2009. Below you will find the link to my hair care routine along with products that I use. Please always remember, what works for me may not work for you.
*Important tips to remember while on your natural hair journey*:
-Apply water regularly
-Seal in moisture with an oil of your choice or hair butter
-Keep hair moisturized
-Comb hair only when wet or damp
-There is NO one specific product that will lead to hair growth, so find products that work for your hair.
-Protective styling/ low manipulation hairstyle are helpful in length retention (ex. buns, braids, wigs, kinky twist, etc.)
-Do deep conditioning and or hot oil treatments weekly or bi-weekly. (Also do scalp massages to stimulate blood circulation)
-Don't be afraid to experiment to see what works for you. Results don't lie, so if your routine is not the same as someone else's, don't worry! Always, do what's best for you.
-Use heat sparingly
-Don't compare your growth rate to others. It's not a competition! The most important thing is having strong, healthy hair. Let it grow at its own speed.
-Have Patience! It takes time for your hair to grow.
